Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Actuation Division in Shelby, NC, is seeking a Sr Manager, Systems Engineering & Testing to lead a 10–12 person department within the aerospace actuation group, directing system modeling, requirements, safety and verification activities.

The role requires strong governance, customer communication, bid/proposal experience, and hands-on use of DOORS and Simulink, with a commitment to delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Master's degree in engineering is preferred.
• 15–20 years in aerospace systems engineering and test management.
• Experience with ARP-4754/DO-254/DO-178/DO-160 for actuation systems.
• Experience managing an engineering department with formal reporting.
• Strong customer communication and project progress accountability.
• Experience in bid and proposal development (technical and estimates).
• Experience using DOORS for requirements management and using Simulink for system models.
• Experience performing reliability and safety analyses (FMEA, FMECA, FTA).

Responsibilities

• Provide management direction to the systems engineering department (10–12 people).
• Oversee system modeling, requirements, safety, reliability, and product testing.
• Lead communications with customers on technical topics and project progress.
• Drive governance, metrics, and accountability within the department.
• Support bid/proposal activities and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
