Curtiss-Wright Actuation Division is hiring an Electrical Engineering Manager for its Gastonia, NC team. You will oversee a major engineering function, manage people and budgets, and guide system requirements across multiple project phases to meet performance targets.

The role demands 7–10 years in design engineering or technical project management within aerospace/defense/automotive contexts, plus leadership excellence and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience managing professional engineers and engineering operations.
• Experience with departmental budgeting, resource planning, and process management.
• Experience with ARP-4754, DO-254, DO-178, DO-160 for safety-critical systems.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• 7–10 years in design engineering/technical project management.
• 7–10 years in aerospace, defense, or automotive industries.
• US citizenship is required.
• Ability to guide system requirements and influence cross-functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined engineering function by setting objectives, planning work, allocating resources.
• Lead, develop, and evaluate engineering staff through hiring and performance management.
• Direct development of system requirements and specifications across project phases.
• Oversee engineering design, construction, installation and ongoing support for facilities and systems.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, tools, and standards while managing budgets.
