Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Actuation Division is seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer in Shelby, NC. You will perform static stress, fatigue life, and damage tolerance analyses on aircraft actuation components, including gears and shafts, and work with design engineers to optimize weight and size.

The role requires robust FEA, thermal analysis, and reporting skills, with collaboration across product development teams during design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 12+ years of experience expected.
• US citizenship required.
• Experience withrotating transmission equipment and gears desirable.
• Familiarity with FEA and fatigue analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform static stress, fatigue life and damage tolerance analyses.
• Conduct vibration, shock and dynamic analyses of mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize for weight and size.
• Document results in deliverable stress/thermal analysis reports.
