Job summary

Actalent in Mukilteo, WA is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide program-level technical leadership and mature aerospace and defense products from concept through integration, testing, and qualification.

You will lead requirements, architecture, interfaces, risk, validation, and documentation across IPTs, mentor engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the product meets customer and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in systems engineering for aerospace/defense programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with requirements decomposition and verification.

Responsibilities

• Provide program-level technical oversight across lifecycle stages.
• Organize systems engineering activities across requirements, architecture, and tests.
• Balance design, analysis, integration, and test activities.
• Lead architecture decisions and interface management.
• Develop ICDs/IDDs and maintain traceable documentation.
• Prepare engineering reports and participate in reviews.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across IPTs.
