Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance/Engineering professional with aerospace experience to lead supplier quality activities. The role focuses on resolving production challenges with supplier teams, ensuring MRB disposition, and guiding adherence to PW QMS including MRB/QN, AS9102, and AS9100 requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Experience working in aerospace manufacturing and quality environment; knowledge of AS9100 and AS13100.
• Experience in quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T, Gage R&R and PPAP.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain relationships with Suppliers’ Quality and Operations Management teams and PW Engineering, Procurement, and support organizations to resolve production challenges in a high paced environment.
• Communicate to PW Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations Leadership at various levels.
• Resolve open questions/turnbacks to support disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
• Train and guide supplier in P&W Quality Management System (MRB/QN submission, PW-QA specifications, eSRI, etc).
• Manage the ATR (authorization to release) program at the vendor including DQR process to support material flow.
• Review, approve, and provide guidance on First Article Inspection per AS9102.
• Support Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB).
• Conduct surveillance audits at the supplier and support regulatory audits.
• Engage with PW supplier quality points to resolve problems and drive closure to improve overall supplier quality.
