Job summary

Varstaff Staffing in Colorado Springs is seeking a Structural Technician III for a 12-month contract to build major aerospace structures and perform minor part-fitting operations. Qualifications

Must have a High School diploma or GED and typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints and manuals; perform installations per drawings.
Progressive experience with structure assembly and minor part fitting; repair/refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal.
Ability to install fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.

Responsibilities

Assemble major aerospace structures and perform part-fitting operations.
Align parts on jigs and vehicles using templates and fixtures; verify dimensions with micrometers and calipers.
Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate design changes.
Monitor and verify quality per statistical process and control procedures.
