About the Job: In this role, you will oversee and execute complex, critical structural assembly operations for major structures and minor part-fitting tasks (e.g., filing, sawing, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, reaming, and countersinking). Working from structural blueprints and technical schematics, you will align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates, measure components with precision tools, install specialized fasteners, and incorporate engineering changes. Serving as a senior technical leader, you will mentor technicians, conduct quality inspections, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and liaise directly between the production floor and engineering management.
Location: MAF / Nexus (SNC - Ohio Operations)
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 8–15+ years of relevant structural assembly/mechanic experience (Associate's degree in aerospace manufacturing preferred).
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required.
Mastery in structural blueprint reading, technical schematics, diagrams, and publications.
Advanced experience with structural assembly, minor part-fitting techniques, airframe corrosion removal, repair, and refinishing.
Must possess personal mechanics tools in good working order.
