Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Structural Analyst for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team in Orlando, FL. You will perform dynamic and structural analyses to support development of advanced aerospace hardware from concept through full life cycle, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and subcontract teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with 3+ years of industry experience performing structural analysis.
• Final Secret clearance.
• Experience with NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling.
• Ability to apply new and advanced analytical techniques necessary to perform structural analysis.
• Knowledge of spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations, with experience in mechanical joints.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment.
• Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Support conceptual and detailed design of advanced hardware through full product life cycle via dynamics and structural analysis.
• Collaborate with individuals from Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sub-Contracts organizations.
• Apply research to the planning, development, and testing of new aerospace products.
• Develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts with little direction.
• Perform dynamic/structural analysis, finite element analysis, structural/vibration testing, and test correlation.
• Utilize related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and HyperMesh.
