Job summary

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of practical structural/stress analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or related field.
• Strong foundation in strength of materials and structural mechanics.
• FEA experience with MSC/NX Nastran and Patran/Femap/HyperMesh.
• Experience with metallic/composite structures and MMPDS/CMH-17.
• Experience in sizing, load path development and margin of safety calculations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Excellent written/verbal communication; able to work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform trade studies on structural configurations.
• Define external/internal loads and load paths.
• Size primary/secondary structures for strength and stiffness.
• Develop/verify finite element models and validate properties.
• Perform hand calculations to verify FE results.
• Conduct fatigue and damage tolerance assessments.
• Author stress analysis reports and margins of safety.
• Support test scope definition and development activities.
• Present findings at design reviews and provide status updates.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices.
