Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking an experienced software engineer to maintain and extend an ASR C++ code base for ground station and drone operations. The role involves developing new algorithms and refining our communications protocol within a strong Linux/UNIX environment.

The candidate should have deep C++ experience, familiarity with object‑oriented design, and exposure to frontend tech (HTML/CSS/JS) and Python backend development. Prior work in aerospace or autonomous systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Strong development experience with C++ for ground station and drone ops.
• Front end web development using HTML CSS, JavaScript.
• Backend development using Python.
• Android development using Java or Kotlin.
• Strong object‑oriented development methodologies.
• Strong math/physics background with vector ops.
• Expert in C/C++ including STL and low‑level mem mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend ASR C++ code base for ground station and drone operations.
• Develop new algorithms to improve autonomy and communications.
• Modify and extend the communications protocol.
• Contribute to software architecture and engineering process development.
