Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality propulsion and defense components, meeting aerospace standards. You will support manufacturing and design teams, verify parts and materials, and maintain clear inspection records.

Reporting to the Inspection Lead, you will perform electrical, dimensional, and visual inspections, operate inspection equipment, review supplier documentation, and mentor junior inspectors in a fast-paced, regulated

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of quality control/inspection experience in a precision machining environment.
• Ability to read drawings and standards and interpret GD&T.
• Experience with automated inspection equipment such as CMM, comparators, height gauges or profilometers.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, dimensional, and visual inspections for procured or manufactured parts and subassemblies.
• Operate manual and automated test and inspection equipment.
• Review supplier documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform part and subassembly inspection or testing.
• Record legible, complete inspection results and documentation.
• Author Discrepancy Reports (DR) as needed.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and update recall tracking.
• Guide and mentor junior quality control inspectors.
