Job summary

Ursa Major, a leader in propulsion and defense systems, seeks a Quality Control Inspector for weekend coverage in Colorado. You will ensure on-time delivery of high-quality items, review supplier certifications, and operate inspection equipment across a 3-shift weekend program.

Role reports to the Inspection Lead; requires GD&T proficiency, metrology experience, and ability to read drawings. Eligible applicants work full-time with a weekend shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School degree (technical school preferred).
• 2+ years of quality control/inspection experience in aerospace or precision machining.
• Ability to read drawings and standards.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with metrology equipment used in dimensional or electrical inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, electrical, and/or visual inspections as appropriate for procured items.
• Operate manual and automated test and inspection equipment.
• Review submitted supplier certifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform part and subassembly inspection or testing.
• Record legible, complete, and accurate inspection results and other documentation.
• Author Discrepancy Reports (DR) as needed.
• Support MRB inventory and clearance activities.
• Program or assist in programming automated test and inspection equipment.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and update the calibration recall tracking system.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Management.
