Job summary

LER TechForce, LLC. seeks a Senior Project Manager with active DoD Secret clearance to oversee aircraft tooling and assembly projects in Metro Detroit. You will manage scope, schedule, and cost across a portfolio of capital equipment initiatives for major OEMs and suppliers.

The role requires 5+ years in program management, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Project and CAD/blueprints. Willingness to obtain clearance and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing Technology, or Industrial) required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Program/Project Management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints/CAD models; GD&T understanding.
• Understanding of P&L and cash management in projects; strong Excel skills.
• Ability to negotiate disputes while maintaining relationships.
• Proficient with MS Project and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of contracts and compliance matrices.
• Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
• Willing to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Export Control: U.S. Person per 22 C.F.R.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of capital equipment projects for aircraft OEMs and suppliers.
• Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (MS Project) and manage schedule, cost, and scope.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address schedule improvements or technical changes.
• Own assigned projects and ensure delivery within contractual boundaries.
• Build and maintain customer relationships through clear status updates and communication.
• Lead project teams in a matrix organization to achieve program goals.
• Identify and communicate risks and opportunities; develop mitigation plans.
• Oversee changes in scope and capture cost and schedule impacts per contract terms.
• Travel locally; some overnight travel as required.
