Job summary

Neon Aero in Irvine, CA or Manchester, CT, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex aerospace programs across hardware and software. You will drive cross‑functional execution with engineering leadership, sponsors, and suppliers, ensuring on‑time, within‑budget delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.

You will manage scope, budgets, and risks, while translating customer needs into actionable plans and maintaining executive visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive technical program management experience in aerospace or complex systems.
• Strong engineering background working with technical teams on requirements, risk and execution.
• Experience leading cross-functional aerospace programs from concept to production.
• Proven schedules, governance, risk management and executive reporting.
• Budgeting and forecasting expertise with business acumen.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency with PM tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ERP/MES.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex aerospace programs across hardware and software.
• Align technical execution with business priorities and program outcomes.
• Define scope, requirements maturity, and execution strategy with schedules and milestones.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and risk plans.
• Own tradeoffs across cost, schedule, and resources with leadership input.
• Partner with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Support proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations with Finance/BD.
• Manage contract scope and change control.
