Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead repair process development and optimization for turbine components. You will drive Lean improvements, support production operations, and collaborate across Engineering, Quality, and Commercial teams to deploy new repair solutions.

The role focuses on process maturation, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency in a regulated aerospace environment, based on an on-site site in Newnan, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of aerospace, industrial gas turbine, or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience developing or supporting repair processes such as brazing, plating, coating, welding.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience driving process improvements through Lean manufacturing and CI.
• Ability to analyze production challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Experience supporting product development, production support, and process maturation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of repair processes for turbine components.
• Provide technical support for production operations.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies.
• Lead projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity enhancement.
• Own technical aspects of assigned production processes and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams to industrialize new repair solutions.
• Identify, develop, and implement tooling, equipment, and process improvements.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
• Present project updates and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support NPI activities and transition new repairs into production.
