Job summary

GE Aerospace in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a Quality Engineer / Customer Quality Engineer to serve as the primary quality interface with customers and lead the hourly inspection team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will drive corrective and preventive actions, analyze quality metrics, and partner with cross-functional teams to reduce escapes and improve process capability, ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 6+ years in quality/manufacturing with equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in quality engineering or related role.
• Experience leading teams or frontline manufacturing/inspection activities.
• Experience interfacing with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer quality contact for assigned accounts.
• Lead and manage customer and internal quality issues ( containment, root cause, CAPA ).
• Provide people leadership for hourly inspection team (staffing, coaching, performance).
• Oversee daily inspection activities to support production and customer commitments.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures, standard work, and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain to resolve issues.
