Job summary
Microchip Technology Inc. HRR has a key opening in our Garden Grove office for a Principal Engineer – Design.
This key position is primarily responsible for leading the development of Power Electrical Converters and Inverters in pursuit of our Aerospace Product Roadmap. The High Reliability and RF (HRR) is the power systems division of Microchip Corporation and a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-performance modules and systems in Power Management.
Qualifications
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Power and Analog engineering.
- 10+ years electronic power conversion design experience, preferably aerospace.
- Space power systems experience preferred.
- Experience designing power stages for isolated/non-isolated DC-DC converters.
- Experience with EMI/EMC and power integrity.
- Strong modelling, analysis and simulation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of power converters from concept to production release.
- Perform detailed analog circuit design and analysis.
- Mentor electrical development team and graduates.
- Develop verification tests, qualification plans and acceptance procedures.
- Prepare technical proposals for aerospace customers.
