Microchip Technology Inc. in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Hi Rel and RF Solutions team.

You will drive discrete power device design, characterization and qualification for space and high-rel environments, collaborating with foundries, test, and manufacturing to ensure robust products. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in semiconductor product engineering, hands-on AC/DC testing, radiation effect knowledge, and ability to mentor engineers while coordinating with marketing

Qualifications

• BSEE or relevant Engineering Degree required; MS preferred.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing product engineering.
• AC/DC electrical parameter testing for diodes, transistors and MOSFETs; hands-on test characterization.
• Experience with radiation effects testing (TID, SEE & ELDRS).
• Knowledge of MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-883 desirable.

Responsabilités

• Design and qualification of discrete power devices.
• Characterization and qualification of products for space/high-rel environments.
• Provide engineering support to marketing and planning groups.
• Mentor less experienced engineers within the Product Engineering team.
• Review product documentation and BOMs; support for documentation control.
