Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a senior Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive systems, spanning architecture, design, verification, and validation of Thermal Management Systems. You’ll drive cross‑functional integration with hardware, test, and manufacturing teams to deliver safe, robust aerospace solutions.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics or electric drives.
  • 15+ years in electrical engineering and systems engineering for power electronics, digital power conversion, and/or electric drives.
  • Proven experience leading design, verification, and validation of power conversion hardware and control electronics.
  • Experience with high‑voltage systems, insulation coordination, and HV testing.
  • Ability to work across cross‑functional technical teams and manage scope, schedule, and risk.

Responsibilities

  • Own system-level requirements flow-down for digital power conversion hardware, decomposing requirements into clear hardware and firmware requirements.
  • Document and communicate design decisions, analyses, and test outcomes with traceability.
  • Lead architecture and detailed design of digital power conversion, including DC/DC stages and protection circuits.
  • Plan and execute verification and validation of hardware and systems, including environmental and performance tests.
  • Define insulation coordination and HV design rules to meet aerospace safety expectations.
  • Design and review PCBs and schematics for power stages and control boards.
  • Lead HV testing and qualification activities, including partial discharge tests.
  • Collaborate with AI&T to develop automated test benches for digital power testing.
  • Provide mentorship to early career engineers in power converter design and integration.
  • Contribute to proposals and roadmaps for TMS control systems and digital power architectures.
