Job summary

Sky Limit Systems in Wichita, KS seeks a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive NPI and production release, develop processes, routings, and BOMs, and support shop-floor execution.

The ideal candidate has aerospace experience, CATIA V5 proficiency, ERP/MRP familiarity, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional manufacturing initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting NPI and transitioning designs into production.
• Strong background developing processes, work instructions, routings, and production documentation.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 and other CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, models, specifications, and requirements to build manufacturing plans and production strategies.
• Lead manufacturing engineering for new product introductions (NPI) moving products from design to production.
• Develop and maintain routers, process plans, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Create visual work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Provide daily technical support on the shop floor and troubleshoot production challenges.
• Investigate non-conformances; drive corrective actions and improvements.
• Partner with customers, design engineers, quality, and suppliers to improve manufacturability.
• Evaluate tooling, fixturing, equipment, and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
