Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead production planning, BOMs, tooling, and process improvement for Mil-DoD and aerospace components. You will translate customer requirements into manufacturing plans, support tooling development, and ensure quality across assemblies and processes.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, Cad experience (Creo/ProE), and strong GD&T knowledge, with a focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Mil-DoD and aerospace manufacturing experience required.
• CAD experience in Creo/ProE preferred.
• Fluent English read/write.
• Knowledge of casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication and metal finishing.
• Design of jigs and tooling for assembly.
• Experience writing work instructions and training materials.
• Familiar with MIL-STD, GD&T great for interpretation (ASME Y14.5).
• Able to write engineering reports and communicate clearly.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support Production to ensure products are built to specifications and engineering documents.
• Provide feedback to improve product design for cost and time savings.
• Prepare engineering changes to support manufacturing quality.
• Identify and design tooling to aid production.
• Ensure compliance to specifications and quality systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on repairs, analysis and training materials.
• Review and approve controlled documents and procedures.
• Support documentation updates for BOMs, drawings and test procedures.
• Interact with engineering, manufacturing, materials and vendors as required.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for design activities as needed.
