Job summary

Vast is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Hawthorne to help develop high-performance engines for small launchers, bridging development to production. You will work hands-on with design and manufacturing teams, creating detailed manufacturing plans and MBOM processes while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and at least 5 years in manufacturing engineering, preferably aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, preferably aerospace.
• Experience with manufacturability reviews and tooling selection.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design to ensure manufacturability of E-2 engine components.
• Create manufacturing plans, procedures, and work instructions for production.
• Own MBOM transition to MES and support shop layout.
• Perform assembly, inspection, and testing per specs.
