Job summary

Beehive Industries, LLC in Centennial, CO, seeks a Senior Plant Manufacturing Engineer, Externals, to drive scalable production for aerospace components using traditional and additive methods. You will own manufacturing readiness and work with design, quality, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities include Design for Manufacturing, planning, prototyping and testing, process development, collaboration across functions, risk and cost control, and ongoing process improvements to reduce errors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in tube bending, metal forming, welding, and electronics enclosures.
• Exposure to integration and vehicle/system packaging.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or similar systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and models effectively.
• Willingness to travel as needed and ability to obtain security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Design for Manufacturing: collaborate with design team to optimize for manufacturability.
• Manufacturing Planning: create production plans and work instructions; coordinate resources.
• Prototyping and Testing: oversee prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation.
• Process Development: design and optimize processes considering materials, tooling, and labor.
• Collaborative Work: work with cross-functional teams to address issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Risk Management: identify risks and develop contingency plans.
• Cost Control: monitor costs and pursue waste reduction and efficiency.
• Process Improvement: implement automation and lean methods to reduce errors.
• Troubleshooting: resolve production issues to maintain flow.
• Quoting: assess potential parts and methods for production hardware.
