Archer is seeking a Sr. Logistics Specialist to lead end-to-end logistics operations across multiple sites, ensuring timely and cost-efficient movement of materials and finished goods.

You will manage complex transportation, negotiate rates/contracts, and mentor junior staff, while aligning with production schedules and program milestones. The role requires 5+ years in transportation/logistics, strong vendor management, and knowledge of domestic freight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics operations, or supply chain execution.
• Proven track record independently managing carrier and third‑party logistics relationships across multiple transportation modes.
• Strong knowledge of domestic freight (LTL/FTL, parcel, flatbed, and specialty transport).
• Experience leading logistics process‑improvement or network projects.
• Experience mentoring or leading logistics team members.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end logistics operations across multiple Archer sites and suppliers, including transportation planning, scheduling, and execution for high-complexity moves.
• Lead carrier relationship management and rate/contract negotiations (LTL, FTL, parcel, and specialty transport).
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex material and tooling movement issues supporting production, test, and R&D operations.
• Lead cross-functional logistics projects from scope through implementation.
• Own logistics KPI reporting and analytics; identify trends and drive corrective action plans.
• Mentor Logistics Specialists and Coordinators to build team capability.
• Partner with Warehousing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leadership to align logistics strategy with milestones.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and internal safety requirements and lead audits.
• Own and update internal logistics playbook, SOPs, and training materials.
• Support cross-functional initiatives to improve visibility and reduce cost.
