Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Environmental Test Technician III to support environmental qualification, acceptance testing, and development testing of satellites, solar arrays, and aerospace hardware at our Midland, TX facility with relocation provided.

This senior role requires leading test activities, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring tests meet aerospace standards while safely using TEQ equipment and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on aerospace/testing experience.
• Associate degree preferred; HS diploma required.
• Experience with wiring, harnessing, electrical assembly, and cable fabrication.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and data acquisition equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental qualification and acceptance testing (TVAC, vibration, shock, acoustic, thermal cycling).
• Install, verify, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation (accelerometers, thermistors, thermocouples, strain gauges).
• Configure and operate DAQs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers, and vibration equipment.
• Maintain documentation: procedures, records, reports; ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
