Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Environmental Test Technician II to support environmental qualification and acceptance testing of satellite systems, solar arrays, and aerospace hardware. The role involves independent test execution, calibration support, and mentoring junior technicians in a standards-driven environment.

The position is based in Midland, TX with relocation assistance. You will perform TVAC, vibration, shock, and thermal cycling tests, maintain test records, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Three years hands-on experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
• Experience with wiring, harnessing, cable fabrication, and electrical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and test procedures.
• Knowledge of calibration programs and test documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform environmental testing including TVAC, vibration, shock, acoustic, and thermal cycling.
• Set up, configure, instrument, and operate environmental test systems and support equipment.
• Install, verify, and troubleshoot instrumentation including accelerometers, thermistors, thermocouples, strain gauges, and other test sensors.
• Configure and operate DAQ systems, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Build, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, harnesses, and test fixtures.
• Perform soldering and connector assembly; verify electrical continuity.
