Job summary

RTX in East Hartford is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead engine-related corrective actions, support maintenance operations, and coordinate with Airbus on hardware documentation. The role requires onsite work at the RTX campus and involves interfacing with airlines to resolve service issues.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, possess 5+ years of engineering experience (or 3+ years with an advanced degree), and are U.S. citizens.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. citizenship required to access sensitive information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement corrective action for engine-related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
  • Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
  • Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
  • Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
  • Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications issues related to their hardware.
  • Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
  • Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs – Customer Part Returns).
  • Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs).
