Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring for an on-site engineering role in East Hartford, CT. You will understand and resolve engine-related in-service events, support MROs, coordinate with airlines on AOGs, and develop technical data for engine maintenance manuals.

The role requires a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree and substantial experience, with U.S. citizenship a requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
• Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
• Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
• Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
• Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications' issues related to their hardware.
• Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
• Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs -- Customer Part Returns)
• Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs)
