Job summary

RTX in East Hartford, CT is seeking a CTS engineer to work onsite with airline customers and engine overhaul facilities. You will understand and implement corrective actions for in-service engine events and support MROs, airlines, and Airbus data coordination across engine manuals and maintenance data.

The role requires a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree with 5 years of engineering experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree) and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• 5 years of Engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• May have broad knowledge of project management.
• Prefers substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems to provide enhancements within job area.

Responsibilities

• The CTS engineer works directly with airline customers and engine overhaul facilities and teams up with their respective disciplines to.
• Understand and implement corrective action for engine related in-service events and hardware issues identified during overhaul.
• Support MROs to resolve work-stops during teardown and reassembly of engines.
• Support Airlines to resolve Aircrafts on the Ground (AOGs) and coordinate resolution of service issues.
• Initiate technical data development of documentation for engine/module piece part inspection and for Engine Manuals (EM) and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM).
• Coordinate with the technical publication organization (MDE) and provide direction for all technical publications' issues related to their hardware.
• Interface with Airbus by providing design, operation, maintenance, and customer service data.
• Coordinate resolution on hardware investigations (CPRs -- Customer Part Returns)
• Coordinate resolution on Quality Notifications (QNs)
