Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Electrical Component Engineer to join the Parts, Libraries and Obsolescence (PLO) Department in Tucson, AZ. This on-site position involves supporting airborne, ground, and tactical missile programs, interfacing with various stakeholders, and overseeing parts selection and verification.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience. A strong background in electronic component technology is essential, along with rigorous adherence to military and aerospace standards.

Salary range: $107,500 - $204,500, with eligibility for benefits and incentive programs.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical part commodities, including integrated circuits.
  • Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Understand program requirements and determine program component environmental/characteristic application requirements.
  • Generate and revise component drawings and associated verification data packages.
  • Coordinate and generate the program BOM to support component selection.

Skills

Experience with electronic and electro-mechanical part commodities
Knowledge of component selection and qualification
Experience with BOM development

Education

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
