The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 6+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Typically 6+ years designing aerospace/defense systems.
• Proven hardware design experience that passed qualification testing.
• Proficient with CAD/CAE tools and drawing conventions.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design across concept through delivery.
• Develop structures, mechanisms, and mechanical systems per specs.
• Perform calculations and tolerance stack-ups to validate designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support proposals with CAD visuals.
• Create bills of materials and drafting packages for designs.
