Job summary

Ascent Aerospace, LLC seeks an experienced engineer to lead the programming, commissioning, and testing of automated assembly equipment for aerospace manufacturing. You will design PLC logic, CNC programming, HMI interfaces, and drive configurations, guiding the system from concept to client startup.

You will collaborate with teams across integration and engineering to ensure high-quality, efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems.
• Experience with PLC/CNC/HMI programming and drive configuration.
• Export control compliance requires US Person status.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, programming, testing and startup of automated assembly systems.
• Develop PLC/HMI software and document software changes.
• Support installation, commissioning and production at customer facilities.
• Collaborate with integration engineers to evaluate new technologies for aerospace applications.
• Monitor and report program metrics to management and customers.
