Ascent Aerospace in Palmdale, CA seeks a Technical Site Lead for a state‑of‑the‑art aircraft assembly line to program, commission, and test equipment upgrades. You will serve as escalation support for complex automation issues and contribute to PLC logic, HMI programming, and drive configuration from concept through production.

This role requires a BS in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering, Siemens controls experience (Simatic Manager, TIA Portal), and strong knowledge of electrical power

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Systems Engineering.
• Proficient with Siemens controls architecture including Simatic Manager and TIA Portal.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems.
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
• Experience in C# programming is preferred.
• This position must meet ITAR and US Person requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support production line maintenance team as resident automation control systems subject matter expert.
• Design, write, test, implement, and document PLC and HMI software for upgrades.
• Support installation, commissioning, and production support of the systems.
• Assist in development of company standards for consistent project execution.
• Research new technologies to improve system design and performance.
