Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, TX is seeking a skilled Composite Technician to build aerospace-grade composite parts and structures for the Alpha vehicle. You will be involved in layup, bonding, curing, and debulking, contributing to a high‑performing production line and flight‑critical hardware.

Applicants should have 8+ years in aerospace composites, strong craftsmanship, and AS9100 or equivalent quality system experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of composite manufacturing experience in aerospace.
• Expertise in layup, bonding, and cure processes.
• Ability to build flight-critical or high-complexity hardware.
• Proven mentoring and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform steps to fabricate aerospace-grade composite parts from raw materials.
• Cut carbon with hand tools to high tolerance and perform bonding operations.
• Maintain full vacuum bag cure cycles and cure materials per specs.
• Support con-ops and tooling design meetings; drive improvements and efficiency.
