Job summary

Sonic Aerospace in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer / Senior CNC Programmer to join a precision team. You will oversee complex multi-axis processes, program challenging aerospace parts from prototype to production, and push for throughput and quality improvements.

We machine titanium, aluminum, and other aerospace materials in a facility with AS9100D, ITAR, and CMMC 2.0 Level 2 certifications. Experience in GibbsCAM/Mastercam and ERP/MRP is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Extensive aerospace CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience.
• Ability to develop and optimize multi-axis manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with GD&T, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Program, optimize, and troubleshoot 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Develop manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components.
• Create and maintain setup documentation, tooling strategies, and shop travelers within ERP systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Support machining operations with tooling selection, fixture concepts, and process improvements.
• Edit and verify G-code and post-processor outputs.
• Collaborate with machinists, QA, and engineering to enhance throughput and quality.
• Reduce setup times, improve efficiency, and drive manufacturability improvements.
• Support first article inspections and production readiness.
