Job summary

Stratolaunch, based in Mojave, CA, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Programmer to advance CNC machining for flight hardware and tooling. You will own programming from planning to release, develop multi-axis processes, and support the growth of the internal machine shop, collaborating across teams and suppliers to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on CNC machining and programming experience.
• 5–10 years engineering experience; aerospace context preferred.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings, specifications, GD&T.
• Experience with Haas or FANUC controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, repeatable CNC processes for production hardware and tooling.
• Own CNC programming from planning through simulation and release.
• Support the launch and growth of the internal machine shop.
• Collaborate with machinists, M.E., design, quality, and suppliers.
• Improve machining quality, cycle time, and tool utilization.
• Serve as technical authority for CNC programming, tooling, and probing.
