Job summary

Radius Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Programmer in Chandler, AZ. The role involves developing and optimizing NC programs for CNC and laser machines, based on engineering drawings and CAD models, to produce parts cost-effectively while meeting quality specs.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of engineering experience (or 10+ years in a related field) with CAD/CAM, G-code, and Mastercam/Laserdyne, and is comfortable working with exotic metals in an aerospace setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 2+ years minimum experience, or 10+ years related experience.
Experience with GD&T and 3D CAD models.
Proficient with CAD modeling and fixture design.
Experience with exotic metals and aerospace environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with customer requirements and measurement techniques.
Determine cost-effective fabrication and inspection methods to meet requirements.
Prepare shop operation sketches, instruction sheets and production plans.
Design appropriate tools and fixtures for fabrication of parts.
Provide advanced CNC and laser programs; optimize cycle times.
Troubleshoot machining/laser issues to meet tolerances.
Maintain revision-controlled program folders with setup sheets.
Collaborate with other departments on assigned projects.
