Job summary

CesiumAstro, located in Westminster, CO, seeks a Senior Buyer to drive multi‑year, cross‑functional supply chain strategies for aerospace hardware. You will minimize landed costs by building supplier bases and delivering optimized sourcing for new product development programs.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace buying/sourcing of capital expenditures or test equipment, Excel mastery, and experience with MRP systems such as Acumatica.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related degree.
• MBA is preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in buying and sourcing Capital expenditures or test equipment in the Aerospace industry.
• Space specific industry experience is required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reports) and MRP systems, ideally Acumatica.
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and developing new suppliers for space applications.
• Detailed market knowledge gained through engineering, operations and/or marketing, or procurement negotiation knowledge.
• Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.
• Highly organized and able to function in a fast-paced product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-year, cross-functional supply chain strategies with product line leaders, material managers, engineers, operations, and quality.
• Minimize total landed cost by containing costs through supplier management and sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate to drive optimized sourcing for new product development programs.
• Focus areas include PCB procurement and chemicals/consumables with expiration considerations.
