Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Westminster, CO team, focusing on multi-year supply chain strategies for satellite communications equipment. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to optimize sourcing and reduce landed costs.

Required: 8+ years in aerospace buying, space industry experience, Excel and MRP (Acumatica) proficiency, strong negotiation and communication skills. This in-office role offers stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in buying and sourcing Capital expenditures or test equipment in the Aerospace industry.
• Space-specific industry experience is required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reports) and MRP systems, ideally Acumatica.
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and developing new suppliers for space applications.
• Detailed market knowledge gained through engineering, operations, or marketing experience, or procurement negotiation knowledge.
• Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must possess negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with demonstrated results.
• Highly organized and able to function in a fast-paced product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year, cross-functional supply chain strategies.
• Minimize total landed cost by managing supplier base and containment of costs.
• Facilitate cross-functional communications to drive optimized sourcing strategies for new product development.
• Focus areas include PCB procurement and chemicals/consumables management.
• Ensure alignment with new product development programs.
