Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks an Electrical Engineer (EE) to join the Aerospace Technologies team in Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to mixed-signal design for avionics, develop flights computers, power and telemetry systems, and harnessing for in-house guided missile projects within a fast-paced R&D environment.

The role requires strong experience with FPGA/MPSoC, analog/digital circuit design, and embedded systems, with growth opportunities across hardware,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical discipline and progressive engineering experience.
• Experience with analog and digital schematic design using FPGA/MPSoC/microcontrollers/microprocessors.
• Avionics design experience for aerospace defense applications is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and test analog and digital electronics for aerospace applications.
• Create electrical drawings, wire selections, shielding, and harness designs.
• Perform analyses, schematic/PCB/firmware design, and failure analysis; present results to teams.
• Develop electrical architectures for new projects and manage technical effort schedules.
• Represent GA-EMS as a technical contact on projects when needed.
• Travel as required and work extended hours to meet milestones.
