Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering; 15+ years with Bachelor's, 13+ with Master's, or 10+ with PhD.
• Experience with FPGA, MPSoC, microcontrollers, and wiring harnesses for flight/test
• Experience with data acquisition instrumentation and mission control software
• Knowledgeable with RF components and telemetry MIL standards (IRIG 106)
• Experience with Type 1/2 encryption systems
• Avionics design for aerospace defense and production readiness familiarity
• Understanding of IPC and J-STD-001 standards would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Develop avionics electronics, telemetry systems, and ground stations.
• Design instrumentation interfaces, networking, and telemetry data system requirements.
• Create electrical drawings, wire selection, shielding, and connectors.
• Demonstrate and improve legacy systems and develop new systems.
• Present technical results and manage engineering effort schedules.
• Represent GA-EMS as the sole technical contact on projects.
