Job summary

AEVEX seeks a Sr. Aeromechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of UAS products and subsystems. You will guide a small agile team from napkin sketch to production-ready prototypes, working onsite with occasional travel.

The role requires deep mechanical/aerospace expertise, CFD/FEA, and SolidWorks proficiency; mentorship and customer interface are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
• Experience with aerospace-related design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of UAS products and subsystems.
• Build and test prototype systems to validate designs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering groups to resolve issues.
• Perform CFD/FEA on aircraft and powerplants; design airframes and components.
• Interface with customers as concepts are communicated; travel as required.
