Job summary

AEVEX is seeking a Sr. Aeromechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of unmanned aerial systems from concept to prototype. You will guide a small agile team, perform detailed analyses, and ensure production readiness for airframes and powerplants.

You will conduct FEA/CFD simulations, oversee testing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups to meet schedule and budget constraints. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience designing mil-y electronics products.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of UAS products and subsystems.
• Build and test prototype systems to validate designs.
• Make design decisions and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Produce production-ready designs from concept to final.
• Present designs formally and informally to stakeholders.
• Perform FEA/CFD simulations for airframes and powerplants.
• Travel as required and mentor junior engineers.
