Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Senior Manager, AEC Technologies to lead direction, rollout, and improvement of core construction technologies including Autodesk Forma, reality capture, and commissioning solutions. This role focuses on ease of use, consistency across divisions, and enabling field teams to work more efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction, engineering, IT, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in construction solutions, field technology, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of construction operations and field workflows.
• Experience leading system implementations across construction teams.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma or similar platforms.
• Understanding of reality capture, commissioning, and related field solutions.
• Ability to define standards and improve processes while keeping them practical for field teams.
• Experience improving how data is structured, shared, and used across construction teams.
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and initiatives.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess complex issues and implement practical solutions.
• Interest in emerging tools that improve construction execution.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support divisional offices and projects.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with project teams, IT, Operations, Construction Managers, and divisional leadership.
• Provide clear direction on construction solutions and align efforts with business needs.
• Promote collaboration and shared accountability across Building Lifecycle Solutions teams.
• Stay connected to how field and project teams operate and where they are running into issues.
• Act as a central point of contact for construction solutions across the organization.
• Engage with industry groups and partners to stay current on tools and trends that bring real value.
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current processes and define practical improvements.
• Standardize key workflows and ensure consistent practices across design, construction, field execution, and closeout.
• Improve information flow between field and office to reduce manual effort and improve visibility.
• Oversee implementation and improvement of construction solutions across the company.
• Lead deployment of Autodesk Forma and related tools across divisions.
• Lead deployment of reality capture and commissioning solutions to support field teams.
• Ensure solutions are practical, connected, and fit how teams operate in the field.
• Coordinate training and change management to ensure smooth adoption.
• Provide mentorship and documentation for tools, processes, and standards.
