Job summary
SEMCO Energy Gas Company seeks an experienced Senior Advisor for Incident & Emergency Management to lead and strengthen our emergency program across gas utility operations. You will oversee preparedness, incident response, crisis management, and resilience, partnering with operations, engineering, safety, and regulators.
You will develop plans, run exercises, and provide leadership briefings to support executive decisions and public safety goals.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in emergency management or related fields.
- Experience supporting emergency response operations and exercises.
- Strong knowledge of ICS and EOC concepts; planning and crisis response.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Incident & Emergency Management Program.
- Develop emergency response plans, playbooks, and readiness tools aligned with regs.
- Support EOC activations, ICS operations, and crisis response activities.
- Coordinate resilience planning and readiness across utility operations.
- Design emergency exercises, trainings, tabletop simulations, and drills.
- Lead after-action reviews and drive corrective actions.
- Build relationships with regulators, emergency responders, and stakeholders.
- Provide briefings and strategic recommendations to leadership.
