Job summary

Employment Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Emergency Management Advisor to oversee the internal emergency preparedness program and ensure regulatory compliance for gas utility operations.

This full-time, contract-to-hire role is onsite in Washington, DC, with a pay range of $60.00 to $70.00 per hour. The role requires extensive experience in emergency management, crisis response, and program development, along with strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to operate independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional emergency management experience.
• At least 5 years supporting emergency or crisis management, utility operations, or critical infrastructure.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and administering emergency management programs.
• Ability to operate independently with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary coordinator for emergency management programs, maintaining and updating response plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Ensure programs remain compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Support emergency planning, training, exercises, and incident response activities.
• Support emergency activation, notification systems, and incident management team readiness.
• Coordinate with various organizational teams to enhance emergency preparedness, resilience, and response capabilities.

Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The Senior Emergency Management Advisor will oversee and coordinate the internal emergency preparedness program, ensuring regulatory compliance and organizational readiness across gas utility operations. This is a Full-time,Contract-to-hire roleonsiteposition based in Washington, DC, with a pay range of$60.00 to $70.00per hour.

Core Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Supporting business continuity or crisis management programs.
• Certifications: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300; CEM or similar certifications.

Technical Skills or Certifications

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferably, experience with emergency response platforms like Everbridge.
• Certifications: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300 (required); CEM or AEM (preferred).
