Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Advisor, Analytical Methods to develop and deploy advanced analytical approaches for molecule discovery. You will contribute to AI/ML‑driven workflows and collaborate across Data Foundry pillars to accelerate discovery while communicating complex methods to non‑computational scientists.

You will publish research, mentor teams, and help translate scientific questions into tractable analyses that inform design and mechanism hypotheses.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field such as Cheminformatics, Computational Biology, Biophysics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• Publications in peer‑reviewed journals demonstrating contributions to your analytical domain.
• Experience deploying analytical methods in drug discovery or related life sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in your analytical domain, staying current on innovative methods and making informed recommendations.
• Develop and deploy cutting‑edge analytical methods tailored to Lilly's discovery challenges, building workflows that integrate multiple approaches.
• Translate complex scientific questions into tractable analytical problems to drive compound prioritization and mechanism hypotheses.
• Collaborate with Architecture4Insight to deploy methods as accessible tools and APIs for autonomous AI decision‑making.
• Identify data gaps and design targeted experiments with Scale4Insight to gather high‑value data.
• Publish peer‑reviewed research and present at scientific conferences to build analytical literacy across the organization.
