Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Advisor/Senior Advisor, Analytical Methods within Data Foundry to develop, deploy, and maintain advanced analytical approaches for molecule discovery. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate scientific questions into practical analytical solutions and contribute to autonomous AI-enabled workflows.

You will collaborate across domains, publish research, and help accelerate discovery while advancing data-driven capabilities and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Cheminformatics, Computational Biology, Biophysics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience developing analytical methods in drug discovery or life sciences is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages and ability to translate complex methods into practical tools.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals demonstrating contributions to analytical domain.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in analytical domain and advise on adoption or development of novel approaches.
• Develop and deploy cutting-edge analytical methods tailored to Lilly's discovery challenges.
• Collaborate with discovery project teams to translate questions into tractable analytical problems.
• Create accessible tools and APIs for autonomous AI decision-making in collaboration with Architecture4Insight.
• Identify data gaps and design experiments with Scale4Insight to generate high-value data.
• Work with all Data Foundry pillars and Frontier AI to integrate capabilities across the discovery ecosystem.
• Publish peer-reviewed research and present at scientific conferences to advance the field.
