Job summary

nLIGHT, headquartered in Camas, WA, seeks a Semiconductor Process Engineer to advance next-generation laser products. You will support R&D programs, transfer processes to production, and ensure robust process control in a fast-growing, vertically integrated setting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience in electronics or photonics process engineering, cleanroom exposure, and hands-on lithography, metrology, and vacuum systems expertise. US-born or authorized applicants encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in chemical, materials, photonics, electronics, or related field with years of experience.
• Experience engineering electronics or photonics devices.
• Experience in cleanroom or lab environments.
• Wafer process experience for GaAs/InP photonics devices, lithography and nano-lithography.
• Familiar with DOE, SPC, FMEA and data analysis in R&D programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead wafer fab processes for semiconductor lasers.
• Drive innovative process designs to solve fabrication challenges.
• Create CAD drawings of photo masks for production.
• Collaborate with Epitaxy, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Equipment Engineering and NPI teams.
