Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to drive architecture, design, and integration of complex aerospace systems in Torrance. You will guide end-to-end systems engineering activities and provide technical leadership across control systems integration, testing equipment, and field issue resolution.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with Honeywell Aerospace quality standards and a strong product lifecycle approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (science, technology, engineering, math).
• Minimum 5 years leading complex mechanical/system integration projects.
• Strong experience with verification and validation (V&V) processes.
• Knowledge of the full product development lifecycle.
• Ability to analyze new technologies quickly and manage priorities.
• Demonstrated independent technical decision-making in cross-functional teams.
• U.S. export control compliance awareness is required.

• Drive end-to-end systems engineering activities, including requirements flow-down, design, verification, and validation
• Provide technical leadership across:
  • Control systems integration
  • Test and development equipment
  • Field issue investigation and resolution
• Collaborate effectively with:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering
• Proven experience leading complex system integration projects
• Strong background in verification & validation (V&V) processes
• Knowledge of the full product development lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Analyze and apply new technologies quickly
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Make sound, independent technical decisions
• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
• Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and problem-solving
